ChangeTheWorld: Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge

ChangeTheWorld is a six-week challenge to encourage high school students to volunteer locally and reward them for doing so.


 


Last year, 3,300 youth took part in the ChangeTheWorld challenge in Toronto. If you missed out, we hope you'll get involved this year!

If you're a high school student and you volunteer for three hours or more between April 23 to June 3, you'll be taking part in the Challenge and can request a certificate from 
Volunteer Toronto and the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade as recognition of your contribution to the community. 


To participate:

  1. Contact an organization who has an event you want to volunteer at. We've listed some below to make it easy for you!
    (If you are already volunteering, skip to Step 3)
  2. Volunteer for 3 hours or more between April 23 to June 3
  3. Tell your friends!
  4. Request your certificate by completing this short form

Earth Day Community Clean-Ups

On Earth Day join hundreds of volunteers as we clean up our city together. It'll be a fun day of volunteering with friends and learning more about the environment. 

Saturday, April 22 in the morning. Locations in Etobicoke, Scarborough and North York.

Participate in Daffodil Month

Support Canadians living with cancer by signing up to sell daffodil pins in your community.

Throughout April & May, location and dates of your choice

Packing Party 

It is a party! Bring some friends and sort and pack medical supplies for tourists to bring to developing countries.

Help prepare for the Skill Ontario Competition which promotes skilled trades and technologies. Volunteer to set-up, sort materials or prepare for a Guiness World Record Attempt.
