Earth Day Community Clean-Ups

Saturday, April 22nd,  2017

 

Thank you for the overwhelming interest in this event. These clean-ups are now full. To join another clean-up or organize your own please visit Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-Up.

 

Let’s Clean Toronto Together!

On April 22nd, join hundreds of high school students as we clean-up and beautify our city. We are the future generation and we know our environment matters. Let’s stop waste and plastics from entering our waterways and harming our Great Lakes. Let’s protect our ecosystem for years to come. Let’s change the world! 

Join Volunteer Toronto and partner organizations for Earth Day Community Clean-Ups and let’s show the world we care about our community.

Choose a location that works best for you, tell your friends, and let’s get cleaning!

 

Date: Saturday, April 22 in the morning

Scarborough

Kingston Galloway Orton Park

Organized by East Scarborough StoreFront

9am-1pm

 

North York

York Mills Valley Park

Organized by Volunteer Toronto and Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-up

10am-1pm

 

Etobicoke

Marie Curtis Park Beach, East of Etobicoke Creek

Organized by StopPlastics

9am-2pm

 

What will you do?

You’ll clean up the community by picking up garbage and sorting waste. You can volunteer with your friends. 

 

What do you need to bring?

Please come dressed to be outside and walk/move around rain or shine. Please bring a reusable water bottle. We will provide gloves and garbage bags.

 

Benefits:

  • Receive 3 or more community service hours
  • Receive a certificate of recognition from the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration
